RiteRug Flooring and Brick/Siding Selections
Yikes, I am way behind on updates!
We had our RiteRug appointment almost a month ago. We picked out a dark shade of brown for the carpet and the two different varieties of vinyl flooring for both the 1st floor and the bathrooms and laundry room on the 2nd floor. The cabinets for the kitchen are the maple spice and counter tops will be the butter rum. The hand rail for the stairs is going to be the see-thru black, which looks awesome.
I'm thankful Ryan Homes has you go to RiteRug to pick out everything and has a Selections Coordinator to help you through the process. Otherwise, all of the choices would be overwhelming. I liked the fact the choices were limited and also narrowed down according to the price category chosen.
We also had our meeting that same day to pick out our brick and vinyl siding color. We went with the only choice of brick that was not red. It is called Sugar Creek which is perfect. We had to change our vinyl color because a neighbor had the same color. The main color is the Irish Thistle and the accent color is Sandy Tan. The front door color is called Raisin, which is actually more of a purple or plum color.

Carriage Trails
Carriage Trails (The Meadows) is located right off of Carriage Trails Parkway in Huber Heights. However, it is a Tipp City address and the school system is Bethel Local Schools.
Here is their website for more info:

Here are pics of the Site Plan. It is a rather ambitious plan and will take many years for the homes to be built. It is very pretty and also very close to Carriage Hills Metropark and the new Aquatic Center at the Y. Also, plans are under way for The Heights retail and office development with a proposed 5,000 seat concert venue.

Pictures of Finished Sienna (Elevation L)
Here are a few pictures of finished Sienna models with Elevation L, which is a cottage style. The brick and siding color will be different on our home. We chose a brown brick called Sugar Creek and the siding colors will be Irish Thistle as the main siding and Sandy Tan as the accent. Also, our floor plan has the left facing garage.

What a blessing!
This blog is all about the Britt family and our journey to build a home. We are Brian, Kelley, Faith and Kara (and Sophie and Oreo, too!).
My intent for this blog is to update family and friends on our progress of building a home. I'll post updates on the building progress and all the details that go into the process, along with, of course, pictures!
We are going to build a Ryan homes, Sienna model! Our home will be located in Carriage Trails in Tipp City, Ohio. This location is perfect for our family, since we will be closer to both sets of our parents and our siblings too. Well, except for David, sorry brother!
